Competition Details

The Shema Music Competition is a Christian Music Contest that has three goals:

1. To honor God through the singing of music.
2. To provide Christian entertainment and an economic boost for several counties in West Alabama and/or Mississippi.
3. To discover talented people that may have gone unnoticed.

"Shema" is a Hebrew word meaning "Hear". It is the first word in the Bible verse Deuteronomy 6:4 in which Moses addresses 2 million Israelites.

Type of Competition:
The first year we will have 2 different levels of competition:  Trios/Quartets and Gospel Groups.  We encourage every ministry from trios and quartets (3-5 people) to groups (6-10 people) to strongly consider entering.  You must be a U.S. citizen, and the competition is open to anyone as long as they do NOT make their entire income solely from singing.

Prize packages will be given and will be comprised of recording time, money, and possibly even singing equipment, etc.  A selected charity of the winners will also receive a $1000 donation!
